Travelers Drops Claims Against Fireman’s Fund in DuPont Asbestos Reinsurance Case

HARTFORD, Conn. – Travelers Casualty and Surety Co. (NYSE: TRV) has agreed to drop its claims against Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. in an action seeking reinsurance coverage for the settlement of asbestos claims asserted against E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co.

According to a Sept. 23 filing in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Travelers and Fireman’s Fund stipulated to dismissal with prejudice of Travelers’ breach of contract claim.
