8th Cir. Dismisses White Mountains Re’s Appeal in Land O’ Lakes EPA Coverage Dispute

MINNEAPOLIS - An appeal in which White Mountains Reinsurance Co. asserted it was not liable to two insurers for an environmental cleanup action brought against Land O’ Lakes Inc. has been dismissed in light of a ruling for the insurers.

In an Aug. 29 opinion, the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals explained White Mountains’ appeal is moot because the court has affirmed an award of summary judgment to the insurers on Land O' Lakes’ coverage claims.
