Travelers Increases Retrocessional Claim Against Excalibur to $1 Million

HARTFORD, Conn. — The Travelers Indemnity Co. (NYSE: TRV) has filed a supplemental complaint against Excalibur Reinsurance Corp., seeking $1 million under a retrocessional treaty for underlying claims brought against Ernst & Young.
The supplemental complaint was filed on July 24 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
In its June 19 motion, Travelers explains that it was unable to include allegations regarding this March 13 billing in its original Dec. 21 complaint because that complaint was filed three months before Travelers issued the billing.
