NEW YORK — Atlanta International Insurance Co. has voluntarily dismissed its complaint seeking appointment of an umpire to oversee its reinsurance arbitration with Clearwater Insurance Co.
On July 12, AIIC filed a notice of voluntary dismissal in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
In October 1982, Clearwater’s predecessor, Skandia America Reinsurance Corp., issued AIIC a casualty facultative treaty under which Skandia agreed to reinsure commercial liability policies issued by AIIC. One of these policies was issued to Brauer Supply Co.
