BOSTON - National Casualty Insurance Co. and Employers Insurance Company of Wausau have asked a Massachusetts federal judge to rule that certain OneBeacon Insurance Group companies are collaterally estopped from arbitrating the same reinsurance claims that were at issue in a previous arbitration.
In a complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, National Casualty and Wausau also seek a declaration that OneBeacon’s alleged coercion of an umpire nominee to withdraw constitutes one of its “two strikes” pursuant to the parties’ consolidation agreement.
