NEW YORK — A New York federal judge has granted a Swiss corporation’s petition to confirm an arbitration award, finding none of the defenses enumerated in the Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards are implicated by the respondents’ counterclaims.
On May 1, Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found the counterclaims do not arise from any action in connection with the parties’ agreement.
