NEW YORK — A New York federal judge has remanded to state court a $3 million reinsurance dispute between TIG Insurance Co. and The Insurance Company of the State of Pennsylvania, finding TIG waived its right to remove the case to federal court.
On March 11, Judge Victor Marrero of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found the service of suit clause in certain of the reinsurance contracts acts as a waver to the right of removal.
