‘Stonebridge Tire Program’ Reinsurance Action Transferred to Florida Federal Court

CLEVELAND – An Ohio federal judge has granted Stonebridge Casualty Insurance Co.’s motion to transfer to Florida federal court an action in which certain Lloyd’s of London syndicates seek a declaration that they are not liable under an alleged reinsurance contract covering the “Stonebridge Tire Program.”
On Dec. 17, Judge Michael H. Watson of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio determined that the interests of justice and convenience of the parties would best be served by transferring the action to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
