MADISON, Wis. — A Wisconsin federal judge has remanded to state court a dispute over whether a law firm may represent Utica Mutual Insurance Co. in a reinsurance arbitration against National Casualty Insurance Co.
On Dec. 12, Judge Barbara B. Crabb of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin ruled that Utica presented no evidence to support its belief that it would incur more than $75,000 in replacing its counsel, therefore removal is not warranted under 28 U.S.C. § 1332.
