MIAMI — A reinsurance intermediary and its subsidiary have petitioned a Florida federal judge to compel arbitration of its dispute with Multinational Life Insurance Co. arising from several underwriting management agreements.
The Sept. 24 petition, filed by Redbridge Reinsurance Managers LLC in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, also requests that Multinational be prevented from filing suit in state or federal court.
According to the petition, Redbridge entered into an underwriting management agreement (UMA) with Multinational Life Insurance Co. in January 2008 with respect to accident and health, group life and personal accident reinsurance policies. Redbridge …
