DALLAS - A Texas appeals court has affirmed a trial court's ruling on remand requiring an insurance agent to pay a reinsurer and its cedent $2.8 million, ruling that the trial court properly calculated the damages. Gamma Group Inc. v. Transatlantic Reinsurance Co., et al., No. 05-10-00705 (Texas Ct. App., Dallas Div.).
On March 28, the Texas Court of Appeals, Dallas Division, ruled that the evidence of damages presented by Transatlantic Reinsurance Co. and Home State County Mutual Insurance Co. on remand to the trial court was not outside the appellate court's mandate.
