LOS ANGELES - A trial court did not err in granting Guy Carpenter & Co.'s motion for summary adjudication on a claim that it did not obtain the best terms in obtaining a finite quota share reinsurance agreement for Workmen's Auto Insurance Co., a California appellate court has ruled. Workmen's Auto Insurance Co. v. Guy Carpenter & Company Inc., No. B211660 (Calif. App. Ct., 2nd Dist.).
In a March 1 opinion, the California Court of Appeal, 2nd District, rejected Workmen's assertion that there was a triable issue of fact because the reinsurance contract might not have sufficiently transferred risk. This …
