HARTFORD, Conn. - A federal magistrate judge has ordered Century Indemnity Co. to produce information regarding its allocation of asbestos losses to its reinsurers under treaties for 1969-1974 in a reinsurance dispute with cedent Travelers Insurance Co. Travelers Casualty & Surety Co. v. Century Indemnity Co., No. 3:10-400 (D. Conn.).
In the Nov. 16 order, Magistrate Judge Holly Fitzsimmons of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut further ordered Century to produce information outlining its position as to how Travelers should have allocated asbestos losses under the reinsurance treaties.
