INDIANAPOLIS - A federal magistrate judge has ordered an insurer to produce reinsurance communications in a declaratory judgment action involving coverage for an advertising injury lawsuit. National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh v. Mead Johnson & Co., No. 3:11-15 (S.D. Ind.).
However, in the Oct. 21 order, Magistrate Judge William G. Hussmann Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana allowed the insurer to redact the pricing of the reinsurance, explaining that this "confidential business information" should be protected.
