$15 Million London Award Against Foreign Corporation Confirmed

NEW YORK - A New York federal judge has confirmed two London arbitration awards against a foreign corporation after ruling that the United States is the most convenient forum in which to litigate the petition for confirmation. Constellation Energy Commodities Group Inc. v. Transfield ER Cape Ltd., No. 10-4434 (S.D. N.Y.).

On July 29, Judge Sidney H. Stein of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York found that while the United Kingdom and Hong Kong are adequate alternative forums, the private and public interest factors favor the United States.
