Federal Judge Asked to Confirm Reinsurance Award

NEW YORK - Century Indemnity Co. has asked a New York federal judge to confirm arbitration awards in a dispute with certain London Market reinsurers involving reinsurance documentation requirements. Century Indemnity Co. v. Equitas Insurance Ltd., No. 11-1040 (S.D. N.Y.).

The Feb. 15 petition, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, says that none of the grounds for vacatur of the awards exist in this case.
