Lumbermens Asks Judge to Appoint Umpire

CHICAGO - Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Co. has asked an Illinios federal judge to appoint an umpire to oversee its arbitration with Odyssey American Reinsurance Co., asserting that the parties have reached a stalemate. American Motorist Insurance Co., et al. v. Clearwater Insurance Co., et al., No. 11-692 (N.D. Ill.).

The Jan. 31 petition is before Judge Matthew F. Kennelly of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
