JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A Florida federal judge has confirmed a $3.5 million arbitration award issued in favor of American Heritage Life Insurance Co. American Heritage Life Insurance Co., et al. v. Southwest Reinsure Inc., et al., No. 10-1040 (M.D. Fla.).
On Nov. 23, Judge Timothy J. Corrigan of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida ruled that the award, which requires Southwest Reinsurance Inc. to pay AHL $3.5 million in reinsurance proceeds, conforms with the Federal Arbitration Act.
