WASHINGTON, D.C. - Allianz Underwriters Insurance Co. asserts that Employers Insurance Company of Wausau has failed to state a claim for disqualification in an action seeking to bar McDermott Will & Emery from representing Allianz in a reinsurance arbitration. Employers Insurance Company of Wausau v. Allianz Underwriters Insurance Co., No. 1:10-01297 (D. D.C.).
In its motion to dismiss, filed Sept. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, Allianz argues that the law firm does not possess confidential information that could be used against Wausau in the arbitration.
