PEORIA, Ill. - A federal magistrate judge has ordered American Red Cross to produce reinsurance information in an employment discrimination lawsuit, ruling that even a remote possibility of exposure to a risk warrants disclosure of an applicable insurance policy. Hartman v. American Red Cross, No. 09-1302 (C.D. Ill.).
Magistrate Judge John Gorman of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois rejected Red Cross's counsel's valuation of the case based on certain factual allegations, deeming it "speculative."
