NEW YORK - A suit filed by Mutual Marine Office Inc. demanding payment under excess-of-loss reinsurance treaties should be dismissed because the dispute is encompassed by the treaties' arbitration clause, a reinsurer asserts. Mutual Marine Office Inc. v. British Law Insurance Co., No. 10-4306 (S.D. N.Y.)

In a June 4 brief filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, British Law Insurance Co. further asserts that the claims at issue are already the subject of a pending arbitration.
