MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Managing general agent Alliant Insurance Services Inc. is refuting allegations that it failed to properly transmit $1.88 million in losses to reinsurers. Alabama Municipal Insurance Corp. v. Alliant Insurance Services Inc., No. 2:09-928 (M.D. Ala.).
In its answer to an amended complaint filed by Alabama Municipal Insurance Corp. in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, Alliant asserts 17 affirmative defenses, including failure to state a claim and statute of limitations.
