NEW YORK - A federal appeals court has affirmed dismissal of the last claim in a lawsuit brought against the Republic of Indonesia and its state-owned insurer for damages that allegedly resulted from a $55 million reinsurance fraud. Anglo-Iberia Underwriting Management Co. v. Lodderhose, Nos. 08-2666-cv (L), 08-2836-cv (XAP) (2nd Cir.).
On March 29, the 2nd Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals affirmed that the negligent supervision claim pending against insurer P.T. Jamsostek is barred by the doctrine of sovereign immunity.
