NEW YORK - Mutual Marine Office Inc. is urging a New York federal judge to compel Travelers Casualty & Surety Co. to arbitrate an $868,000 dispute arising from a series of marine liability excess of loss reinsurance agreements and appoint an arbitrator on Traveler's behalf. Mutual Marine Office Inc. v. Travelers Syndicate #1 Inc., et al., No. 10-00365 (S.D. N.Y.)

The petition, filed Jan. 15, seeks an order from Judge Denny Chin of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York calling for a single, consolidated arbitration.
