CHICAGO - Two cedents have asked a federal district court to appoint an umpire to oversee their arbitration of a reinsurance contract dispute with Employers Insurance Company of Wausau. American Motorist Insurance Co., et al. v. Employers Insurance Company of Wausau, et al., No. 09-04752 (N.D. Ill.).
In an Aug. 4 petition, American Motorist Insurance Co. and Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Co. (Kemper, collectively) moved the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois to select an umpire from a list of six nominees submitted by the parties.
