NEW YORK - In a $12.3 million dispute over reinsurance coverage for asbestos claims, a New York federal magistrate judge has ruled that TIG Insurance Co. may withhold additional documents relating to claims brought by AIU Insurance Co. under four facultative agreements. AIU Insurance Co. v. TIG Insurance Co., No. 07-CIV-7052 (S.D. N.Y.).
On July 6, Magistrate Judge Henry Pitman of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York reconsidered 25 of the documents previously ordered produced and determined that portions of these documents constitute attorney-client communications and should be redacted.
