ProNational Urges Judge to Lift Stay, Decide Jurisdictional Issues

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - ProNational Insurance Co. is urging an Alabama federal judge to determine if he has jurisdiction over the issue of whether a $1.7 million reinsurance action brought against AXA Liabilities Managers Inc. should be arbitrated. In an April 14 motion, ProNational asked U.S. District Judge Paul W. Greene of the Northern District of Alabama to lift the present stay and decide the jurisdictional issues before addressing AXA LM's motion to compel arbitration.
