Seaton Seeks to Add $166,726 in Claims Against Century

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seaton Insurance Co. has asked a Rhode Island federal judge for permission to amend its complaint against Century Indemnity Co. to add three additional claims for reinsurance recoverables. Seaton Insurance Co. v. Century Indemnity Co., No. 07-478 (D. R.I.).
In a March 27 brief filed before Magistrate Judge Lincoln D. Almond of the District of Rhode Island, Seaton asserts that Century owes it an additional $166,726.35 under facultative certificates covering policies issued to Studebaker Worthington Inc., Ashland Oil Inc. and Citizens Utilities Co.
