NEW YORK - In a dispute over reinsurance proceeds, TIG Insurance Co. is urging a New York federal judge to allow it to amend its complaint a second time to add claims arising from its settlement of an underlying environmental action brought against Consolidated Rail Corp. TIG Insurance Co. v. Century Indemnity Co., No. 08-7322 (S.D. N.Y.).
Reinsurers Century Indemnity Co. and ACE Property and Casualty Insurance Co. oppose the proposed amendment, asserting that the Conrail claims are unrelated to the claims brought in the original and first amended complaints. But in its March 3 reply filed in the U.S. …
