Ill. High Court Instructs Intermediate Court to Hear Forum Dispute

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. -- The Illinois Supreme Court has ordered an intermediate appellate court to weigh in on a forum dispute in a benzene case, according to a recent docket entry by the court. Leek, et al. v. Continental Tire North America, et al., No. 107138 (Ill. Sup. Ct.).

According to a Nov. 26 disposition docket, the Supreme Court denied the petition for leave to appeal, instead opting to exercise supervisory authority and instruct the Fifth District Court of Appeal to vacate its order denying the petition for leave to appeal.
