LOS ANGELES -- A benzene plaintiff has opposed defense efforts to obtain summary judgment, contending that the defendant erroneously categorized Biphenotypic Acute Leukemia (BAL) as a separate and distinct category of leukemia when it is in fact the combination of the two types of leukemia from which the plaintiff suffers. Park, et al. v. Akzo Nobel Coatings Inc., et al., No. BC350703 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
