WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- A defendant named in a benzene lawsuit pending in North Carolina federal court has filed another third-party complaint against a successor-in-interest to a chemical supplier. Stromberg, et al. v. Thermo Fisher Scientific, et al., No. 07-332 (M.D. N.C.).

On Aug. 7, defendant Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. was permitted by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina to file a third-party complaint against Brenntag Southeast Inc., the alleged successor-in-interest to Worth Chemical Corp.
