NEW ORLEANS -- A plaintiff who contends his bladder cancer was caused by his exposure to benzene has appealed the dismissal of his claims, which were thrown out after a federal court judge found the plaintiff could not establish specific causation. Seaman v. Seacor Marine LLC, No. 07-3354 (E.D. La.).
An Aug. 6 hearing in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana has been set to address the motion. Plaintiff Larry Seaman has also requested that an oral argument be held in the matter.
