BOSTON -- A benzene lawsuit alleging that automobile work led to the development of acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndrome is now pending in Massachusetts federal court. Waisanen v. Safety-Kleen Chemical Services, Inc., et al., No. 07-12108 (D. Mass.).
The claims of Jean F. Waisanen were removed to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts late last year, sources told HarrisMartin.
In the first amended complaint, Waisanen contends that her husband, Richard W. Waisanen, was wrongfully exposed to benzene and other toxic chemicals while working as an automobile mechanic at Brockton Rental Services.
