SEATTLE -- A settlement has been reached between 3M and General Electric and a benzene plaintiff who claims her deceased husband developed acute myelogenous leukemia as a result of benzene exposure. Pilling, et al. v. General Electric Co., et al., No. 06-1614 (W.D. Wash.).
In two separate orders dated Nov. 1, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington dismissed defendants 3M and General Electric Co. after the court was alerted that the parties had reached a settlement.
