Settlement Reached in West Virginia Non-Hodgkin's Case

WELLSBURG, W.VA. -- A plaintiff whose occupation required him to coat metal with paint has reached a confidential settlement with the defendants remaining in his non-Hodgkin's lymphoma case, sources told HarrisMartin. Smith, et ux. v. SAL Chemical Co., et al., No. 05-C-211 (W.Va. Cir. Ct., Brooke Cty.).
The settlement was reached just prior to the Aug. 27 trial date in the West Virginia Circuit Court for Brooke County.
Plaintiffs Richard and Vicki Smith contended that Richard's non-Hodgkin's lymphoma was caused by exposure to organic solvents.
