Parties Spar over Document Production in Upcoming Benzene Trial

MARSHALL, Texas -- Plaintiffs in an upcoming benzene trial have reasserted their position that defendant Ashland Oil Inc. has not produced sufficient documentation relating to its benzene-containing products. Wilson, et al. v. Rycoline Products Inc., et al., No. 06-286 (E.D. Texas).

On Aug. 15, the plaintiffs filed a brief in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, saying that Ashland wrongfully asserts that it should not have to produce documents concerning benzene. Trial is scheduled for Nov. 13.
