SEATTLE -- The surviving family members of a former car painter has filed a benzene complaint in Washington state court, contending that the decedent's 35-year career required him to work with benzene-containing products. Snyder, et al. v. E.I. DuPont De Nemours and Company, et al., No. 07-2-27647-5 (Wash. Super. Ct., King County).
In the Aug. 24 lawsuit filed in the Superior Court for King County, the representatives of William Clark's estate say that during the course of his career, he worked at approximately five different auto body repair shops, all of which used benzene-containing factory paints and paint thinners.
