Court Dismisses Remaining 2 Defendants in Minnesota Benzene Case

MINNEAPOLIS -- The remaining parties in a Minnesota benzene case have reached a settlement and the defendants have been dismissed, sources told HarrisMartin. Keller, et al. v. Ashland Inc., et al., No. 05-02403 (D. Minn.).

In orders signed in June, Judge James M. Rosenbaum of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota dismissed remaining defendants Hurst Chemical Company and Day International Inc. from the acute myeloid leukemia case with prejudice.

Sources told HarrisMartin that all other defendants were dismissed earlier in the proceedings and the case in now closed.
