Defendants Move to Dismiss Claims under Alabama's Statute of Limitations

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Defendants in an Alabama action have moved to dismiss a benzene plaintiff's claims, saying the plaintiff's attempts to change the state's statute of limitations laws have already been "soundly and repeatedly rejected." Hinton v. Troy King, et al., No. 07-140 (Ala. Cir. Ct., Tuscaloosa Cty.).

In a July 16 motion filed in the Circuit Court for Tuscaloosa County, defendants Hunt Refining Co. and Hunt Oil Co. contend that Alabama's two-year statute of limitations bars Marvin Earnest Hinton's claims.
