Complaints Pinpoint Parts Washer Products, Herbicides and Pesticides

LOS ANGELES -- Two new benzene lawsuits have been filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court, asserting claims of exposure to benzene-containing parts-washing solvents, herbicides and pesticides. Machado v. Safety-Kleen Systems Inc., et al., No. BC367401; Molina, et al. v. Shell Oil Co., No. BC367800 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).

On March 29, one of the defendants in the parts-washer lawsuit objected to the plaintiffs' notice of an additional related case, contending that the lawsuits the plaintiffs wish to consolidate have different plaintiffs, occupations, locations of alleged exposure and methods of alleged exposure.
