Calif. Lawsuit Alleges Exposure Took Place at Several Refineries

SAN FRANCISCO -- A recently filed benzene lawsuit alleging that a California man's exposure to benzene-containing products at various refineries caused his leukemia has been transferred from San Francisco to the Alameda County Superior Court. Lackey v. Shell Oil Co., et al., No. CGC-07-459928 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.).
According to the San Francisco Superior Court docket, the plaintiff moved on April 3 for a preferential trial setting in the case, but the court entered a transfer order on April 16.
