Ariz. Plaintiffs Dismiss U.S. Steel Corp. with Prejudice in Benzene Action

PHOENIX -- An Arizona federal court has granted a motion to dismiss U.S. Steel Corp. from a benzene lawsuit filed by a man who alleges that exposure to the company's Liquid Wrench product caused his acute myelogenous leukemia. Overson v. Berryman Products, et al., No. 06-2880 (D. Ariz.).
The Feb. 12 order from the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona stressed that the dismissal is with prejudice. Plaintiffs Rock and Cyndee Overson moved to dismiss the defendant on Jan. 17.
