JACKSON, Miss. -- A benzene defendant has filed a motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction, saying that it does not manufacture or sell the Pettit Paint products that allegedly caused the plaintiff's non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Skrmetta v. Radiator Specialty Co., et al., No. 06-00532 (S.D. Miss.).
In an Oct. 4 motion to dismiss filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi, defendant RPM International Inc. says that it is a holding company for RPM, Inc., which is a parent company to Kop-Coat, Inc., the ultimate manufacturer of Pettit Paint products.
