LOS ANGELES -- Three new benzene lawsuits were filed in California in recent weeks, all asserting that Safety-Kleen System's parts washers contained harmful amounts of benzene. Pearl, et al. v. Safety-Kleen Systems, et al., No. BC358327; Gillan, et al. v. Safety-Kleen Systems, et al. No. BC358325; Tabar v. Safety-Kleen Systems, et al., No. BC358326 (Calif. Super Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The Pearl, Gillan, and Tabar complaints were all filed Sept. 12 in the Los Angeles Superior Court. On Sept. 13, a notice was filed in Thorpe (No. BC348287), alerting the court to the filing of the three additional benzene cases …
