Jury Finds for ExxonMobil in AML Benzene Case

DALLAS -- A Texas jury has found for ExxonMobil in an acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) case that was filed under an exception from the state's workers' compensation system that allows gross negligence cases to be filed when an employee has died. Cashiola v. ExxonMobil, No. 2004-00545 (Texas 298th Civ. Dist. Ct., Dallas Cty.).
The 298th Civil District Court for Dallas County jury returned the verdict Nov. 30 after a 3-1/2 week trial before Judge Adolph Canales.
