Janitor's Benzene Lawsuit Removed to Federal Court

INDIANAPOLIS -- A janitor has filed a benzene action in Indiana, claiming that his work with benzene-containing cleaning solvents had caused him to develop leukemia. Goodpaster v. Correlated Products, et al., No. 06-01638 (S.D. Ind.).
The case was removed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on Nov. 14.
Plaintiff Melvin Goodpaster claims that his work as a janitor at an education facility required him to work with floor care products and other benzene-containing cleaning solvents.
