LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Superior Court has granted 12 defense motions for summary judgment in a case alleging that contamination from an oil well near a California high school caused former students to develop cancer. Moss, et al. v. Venoco, et al., No. BC297083 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
The Nov. 21 order notes only that the 12 motions challenged medical causation evidence proffered by the plaintiffs, and that a more detailed ruling would be issued within 25 days.
