Okla. Parties Advise Court of Settlement in AML Benzene Case

TULSA, Okla. -- Plaintiffs claiming that an instance of acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) was caused by benzene exposure have reached a settlement, according to the federal court docket. Shaw, et al. v. Conoco Inc., et al., No. 05-67 (N.D. Okla.).
In a Settlement Conference report filed Nov. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, the court stated that plaintiffs' counsel has advised that the parties remaining in the benzene litigation have reached a settlement.
The report requires that the parties file appropriate dismissal papers within 30 days of the Nov. 15 order. The report …
