JACKSON, Miss. -- A Mississippi resident has filed a complaint against a number of benzene manufacturers and distributors, claiming that his work at his family's tour boat business exposed him to the toxic substance. Skrmetta v. Radiator Specialty Co., et al., No. 06-00532 (S.D. Miss.).
The complaint, filed May 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi claims that the defendants knew about the hazards of benzene through industry and medical studies.
